We have now launched our NEW Supervisor Directory - a database of academics with research interests in the Law, Gender and Sexuality field.

About PECANS

PECANSPECANS (Postgraduate and Early Career Academics Network of Scholars) is a network of research students and early career academics working in the fields of Law, Gender and Sexuality, broadly conceived! Anyone who would define themselves as either a research student or early career academic (up to around 5 years post-doc) is very welcome to join PECANS.

PECANS is run by the AHRC Research Centre for Law, Gender and Sexuality, which was founded on 1st June 2004 and involves a partnership between the University of Kent – the main physical base for the Centre – and the universities of Keele and Westminster.

The PECANS website is host to the PECANS Directory, an online database of postgraduate research projects and research supervisors in the LGS field. We also have the PECANS forum, where you will be able to discuss research problems or issues, and post information about events which may be of interest to PECANS members. Also on this site is information about the proposed PECANS Newsletter, an e-journal for postgraduate researchers and early career academics, which we hope to launch in 2008.

Don't forget to check our events page regularly - we post information about events relevant to postgraduate and early career scholars in the LGS field.

The new resources section has a wealth of useful documents, video clips and web links for research students and early career academics.
