10:15 – 11:15 am: Session 1 - Sex Wars: The Next Generation: Debating “Johns” and “Jailbait” in
Dominant Feminist, Cultural and Socio-legal Discourses

This session will examine two emerging power struggles in current-day sex wars: the criminalization of youth sexual expression and commercial sex. In particular we are interested in youth who document their sexuality through sexting (“jailbait”) and men who satiate their sexuality through prostitution/sex work (“johns”). The session leaders would like to encourage all participants to complete a survey before the workshop.

Sorry - Registration is now Closed for the PECANS Workshop 2010.
Participants are requested to arrange their own accommodation: hotels, hostels and B&B's are plentiful in central London.
Registration at the workshop is from 9:45am - 10:00am on Thursday 29 April. The workshop is taking place in room 354 (Thursday) and the Boardroom (Friday), both at the Westminster University Regent Street Campus. The nearest tube station is Oxford Circus. On arrival please sign in at the security desk.
